Dear all, Finding the right oatmeal recipe is hard. In fact, I’ve been searching for it since 2011.
How it all began
The first time I discovered the taste of oatmeal was during my exchange year in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My host mom got me instant oatmeal from Quaker Oats and put it on my breakfast table every morning alongside my lunch. I didn’t know I had to cook them, and gobbled them up dry and dusty within minutes. After I returned to Germany, Oatmeal experienced a revival and I saw beautifully decorated bowls all over Tumblr: And that was the turning point for me. My Oatmeal addiction kicked in, and from that day on, I just couldn’t stop experimenting with different portions, ingredients, and toppings – up until this very day. At one point, I even tried giving it up (to no avail, of course) – my morning Oatmeal simply didn’t satisfy me anymore. Something was missing.
The great discovery
It may come as no surprise to you that now, years later, I’ve found the best Oatmeal recipe to start the day feeling full and satisfied. Not only does this Oatmeal recipe warm my belly, but it also warms my heart. In fact, I’d also recommend this recipe to anyone trying to lose a few inches off their waistline. Why you may ask? Well, first of all, I’m currently trying to get rid of my lockdown pounds, and this recipe has been a great help in doing so. Second of all, oatmeal is known to be rich in nutrients like magnesium, zinc, and fiber all of which can be beneficial in helping you lose weight. I know, I know – give us the recipe already, you’re probably thinking now. I won’t keep you in suspense much longer.
